is a remake of a Japanese film. They didn't even change the title. I would imagine the Japanese version is much funnier. At least I can see some charactors in our culture. I like the Japanese movie a lot. However, I think in terms of plot, no dance movie can surpass "Strictly Ballroom." Apparently the same director made "Moulin Rouge." Moulin Rouge is a great tragedy, but it's hard to pass the first 15 min. The cutting is so fast, pretty tiring, but after that the story gets to be very interesting and moving. This director showed thorough understanding of plot, and that seperates from everyone else.
I've heard about mortocycle. It's got a good review in US.
